Applied Positive Psychology

Caroline Goldsmith's Approach to Mental Health in Ireland

When most people think of psychology, they think of problems — diagnosing what is wrong, identifying deficits, managing symptoms.

Applied Positive Psychology, by contrast, asks a different question: what is already working, and how can we build on it? This distinction sits at the heart of how Caroline Goldsmith approaches her clinical work at ATC Ireland Psychology. It shapes how assessments are conducted, how results are communicated, and how therapeutic support is delivered.
